THREE Festival of Romance nominations!

I had a fabulous day on Friday when the Festival of Romance announced its shortlists for its upcoming awards – and my name appeared three times!

Best Romantic Read Award

for Dream a Little Dream

Best Ebook Read Award

for Darcie’s Dilemma

Innovation in Romantic Fiction (Author)

It was an amazing feeling – I’d known about being nomination for the Innovation award, which is one of the Festival’s Industry Awards, and had been awaiting the shortlists for the actual book awards – I’d actually rather that my books win awards than I do! – with tingly anticipation. Dream and Darcie are the only books I had entered, so it’s a dream come true (ho ho) that they’ve made it to the shortlist.

You can read all the shortlists here but I’m thrilled to see that fellow Choc Lit authors Christina Courtenay, Jane Lovering, and Liz Harris on various shortlists. And Choc Lit itself has been nominated twice.

There’s a very serious side to these awards – or, at least, to the Gala Awards Dinner and Ball on the evening of Friday 16th November. A new dress has become a matter or urgency. (How much more serious can you get?)

If you look in the righthand column of this blog page under the heading ‘Events’ you can see where I’ll be during the Festival. If you wish to book for any of them you can do it here. Or just come along to one of the free events to say Hi. It would be great to see you.

Fantastic news and well deserved. Look forward to cheering you and the other nominees on at the awards. I think you should add throat sweets and paracetamol to your shopping list! 🙂

  2. And congratulations to you, too, Catherine, for your nomination for the New Talent Award! Well done, you!

Yes, the singing might take my voice a bit. And I’ve got events and workshops all day the next day. (Note to self: pack whisky.) x

    • Thank you! 🙂 Thanks for following the blog, also. From tomorrow, I’m going to be hosting a Dream a Little Dream blogathon where all kinds of writers are going to be sharing their dreams with us, to celebrate the paperback publication of ‘Dream’. (The blog isn’t usually updated every day!) x
