OK, I’ve finally found time to talk about the Romantic Novelists’ Association, 2012, at Newton Rigg Campus, Penrith. Despite the fact that my journey of 3hrs 50mins (according to AA Maps) took five hours in hurtling rain, we had a mainly dry weekend, with some sunshine!
As is usual at any RNA gathering, funky footwear was of paramount importance, especially at the gala dinner on Saturday evening. (Mine on the right.) (Sorry, I forgot to pack tights.)
Conference highlights for me were the talk on social media by Talli Roland, Pixar storylines from Julie Cohen and the analysis of women’s fiction from Kate Harrison.
And the fabulous company of fabulous friends.
And the kitchen party hosted by the Romaniacs on Friday evening.
Great conference. Loved it.
Sounds like another successful RNA weekend. Shame I missed it, especially the kitchen parties – they’re what makes the conferences such fun. 🙂

I liked the Facebookj pics of shoes. Said it all – oh, and the glasses of wine. What fun you all have – when do you find time to write anything?

😀 The socialising is few and far between, Carol. There are a lot of hours in the year for working, honest.

Great post, Sue. And the unwitting reminder that I still haven’t posted on my blog. OOPS! I’ve got the excuse that I’ve been feeling under the weather because I picked up a cold-type virus while I was away!
